Check Your Voter Information Before September 2
Eligible voters in Timmins are encouraged to check their information on the Municipal Voter’s List before September 2, 2026, to make sure any necessary changes are reflected on their Voter Information Letter.

To vote in the 2026 Municipal Election, you must be:
• a Canadian citizen;
• at least 18 years old on election day; and,
• a resident of the City of Timmins or a non-resident of Timmins, but you or your spouse own or rent property in the city.

Your information may need to be updated if you have moved, changed your name, recently become eligible to vote, or need to correct information currently on the Voter’s List.

An accurate Voter Information Letter helps make voting easier by providing the information you need to cast your ballot, including your Online Voting Pin and polling location. Changes made by September 2 will be reflected on your Voter Information Letter.

Residents can call Service Timmins during regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to confirm whether your name and address appear on the Voter’s List. For privacy and security, Service Timmins will not provide personal voter information over the phone. Any additions or changes to voter information must be completed in person with acceptable identification.

Residents can visit Service Timmins during regular business hours or visit our temporary service booth at the Timmins Square Shopping Centre, 1500 Riverside Dr.:

Wednesday, August 26
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. | 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Thursday, August 27
4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Residents should review the 2026 Voter’s Guide before visiting for information on accepted forms of identification.

Please note: September 2 is the deadline for changes to be reflected on your Voter Information Letter. Additions, deletions, and corrections to the Voter’s List can still be made after September 2, up to and including Election Day on October 26; however, those changes will not appear on the Voter Information Letter.
