The City of Timmins Environmental Services & Public Utilities Department wishes to advise the public of an emergency water infrastructure repair affecting water quality for Lee Ave. between Birch St. S to Cedar St. S. This is scheduled to start Tuesday, June 20,2023 from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 6:00 p.m.
All homes and businesses in the affected area could be without water for a few hours and/or experience coloured water and lower than normal water pressure.
For homeowners that are experiencing brown or rust-colored water, it is recommended not to drink or wash laundry with the discolored water. While it is not harmful to your health, it can stain laundry. Should this occur, it is advised to turn on the COLD water tap closest to the source (usually your laundry tub tap) and let it run for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the water color has returned to normal.
City staff would like to thank residents for their patience and cooperation during this work.
