The City of Timmins, Environmental Services Department wishes to advise the public of an emergency watermain repair affecting the following area:
Porcupine:
• All areas east of Porcupine River Bridge
Date and Time of Disruption:
• October 21, 2026, at approximately 7:20 p.m.
Homeowners and businesses within the notification area may experience:
• Low or fluctuating water pressure
• Discoloured water (yellow, brown, or reddish)
Repairs are currently underway. Estimated time of completion is October 22, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
If you experience discoloured water, be mindful of the following:
• Do not drink or use discoloured water (while it is not harmful to your health, it can stain laundry).
• Run a cold-water tap – preferably an outside tap or cold basement tap – for 5 to 15 minutes until the water runs clear.
• Avoid using hot water and doing laundry until the water is clear.
