Service Update:
We have begun installation of new, solar powered parking meters at the City Hall parking lot and along the west side of Pine St.
The new meters boast a sleek design and run on renewable energy to reduce the frequency of battery changes. The meters are compatible with the City’s Hot Spot parking app and accept coins. Other benefits include a large, high contrast graphics display, bright LED lights, and a strong, light-weight design.
Users can add time using the + or – keys, add the money required, and press the check mark to confirm. When using a double parking space meter, users will select the space where the vehicle is parked, left or right of the meter.
A Parking Control Officer will be frequenting Pine St. to assist with the new meters.
Parking Enforcement
The City of Timmins enforces parking on City streets and municipal parking lots to help ensure the safety of streets, sidewalks, and to support traffic enforcement.
Reminders:
Overnight parking is not permitted in any of the City of Timmins parking lots.
