Security and Restricted Items:

Prior to packing for your flight, check the list of prohibited items for checked and carry-on luggage on the Canadian Air Transportation Security Authority (CATSA) website or call 1-888-294-2202.

Checked bags are screened before they are checked in. Each airline has separate rules and baggage policy. 

Passenger security screening is required for all travelers. Beginning January 20, 2025, this includes people traveling with Thunder Airlines and Air Creebec. This includes screening of each individual person, carry-on bags, and personal items. 

If you arrive at the airport with restricted items, you can:

  • Leave it with family or friends who are with you at the airport
  • Leave it with pre-board screeners who will dispose of the item
